Breaux Bridge – A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, for James “Jim” Donald Barron, 81, who passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Known for her captivating laugh and dimpled smile, Gina Noto Tharp died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 10, 2022, after a battle with cancer that she fought with grace until the end.
Gina’s zeal for life, family and friends was her hallmark. She was a life force of positive energy with an infectious enthusiasm that enveloped all that she encountered.
She was the devoted wife of John Stewart Tharp for 19 years and the adoring mother of Eliza Douglass (16), Eloise Hains (14) and Maxwell Stewart (11).
St. Martinville – Lloyd Joseph Bienvenu Jr., 86, of St. Martinville, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab. Lloyd was born January 16, 1936, to the late Lillian Guidry Bienvenu and the late Lloyd J. Bienvenu Sr. and was the only son of three children.
Henderson – A Funeral Mass was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Doris Guidry Patin, 80, who passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
A rosary was prayed at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Rev. Keith Landry officiated at the Funeral Mass.
Interment followed at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Anna Mae Soprano Foti, 92, who passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
Msgr. Keith Derouen officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kathryn McMinn and Shelby Kahn.
Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
