Larry J. Boyer

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 28 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Larry James Boyer, 66, who died on April 23, 2022.

He is survived by his sons, Adam M. and Alex M. Boyer; daughter, April Boyer; one grandchild; brother, Howard Boyer; and sisters, Mrs. Micky (Mary) Courville, Mrs. Allen (Sue) Johnson, Mrs. Davis (Berna) Breaux and Jackie Boyer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vorena A. Boyer. 

  Pellerin Funeral Home  is in charge of arrangements.

Jeanette O. LaPorte

Arnaudville – Funeral services were held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Jeanette O. LaPorte, 86, the former Jeanette Olivier, who passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville.

Interment was in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Travis Abadie, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, officiated at the services.

Hope Blanchard Guidry

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Hope Blanchard Guidry, 55, who passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

A rosary was prayed at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. 

Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Paul Willis Gerard

St. Martinville – Services will be conducted for Mr. Paul Willis Gerard on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church with visitation at 7 a.m. at the church until time of services. 

Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

David Charles McDonald

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home for David Charles McDonald, 58, who passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at St. Martin Hospital.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday 

Deacon Ken Soignier officiated at the funeral service. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

David was a chemical engineer; he loved his job and was great at it. He was dependable and always very prompt.
