Beverly F. Hebert

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Beverly Frederick Hebert, 74, who passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

A rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. on Saturday by Deacon Butch Hebert.

Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Karen Hebert and Jaelyn Hebert. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren.

Pedro Angelle Sr.

Breaux Bridge A Graveside Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 20, 2022, at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge for Pedro Angelle Sr., 97, who passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Graveside Service. 

Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.

Norris J. Byron

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Norris Joseph Byron, 86, who died on May 8, 2022.

He is survived by his sons, Berchman and Richard Byron; daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Helen) LeBlanc Jr., Mrs. Bolan (Sharon) Doucet, Mrs. Bryan (Sandra) Patin, Mrs. Tony (Janice) Deshotel and Bernadette Byron; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Alice Smith Byron.

Rakayla M. Benjamin

Parks – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 14 at St. Louis Chapel for Rakayla Monique Benjamin, 35, who died on April 27, 2022.

She is survived by her mother, Raquel Charles; father, Malcolm Benjamin; daughter, Kenzily Prejean; son, Khye Benjamin; sisters, Rakelsha and Mya Benjamin; and brothers, Malcolm Jr. and Cameron Benjamin, and Michael  Castille.

Evelyn P. Valsin

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 7 at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Evelyn  P. Valsin, 74, who died on April 25, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Valsin; and brother, Alexis Pierre III. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary Pierre.
