Alma Tauzin Benoit

Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, Jan. 10, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Alma Tauzin Benoit, 96, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020.
Interment followed at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Harry Jr. and Joe Benoit; daughter, Wanda Benoit; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harry Benoit Sr.; daughter, Jacqueline Kidder; two grandchildren; and her 13 siblings.

Septieme Borel

Catahoula - A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, Jan. 12, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Septieme Borel, 93, who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Borel; daughter, Susan B. Doucet; brother, Phillip Borel; sister, Mrs. Ramsey (Mary) Albert; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Viola Gordon

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Viola Jolivet Gordon, 88, who passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.
Interment followed at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph and Larry Gordon; daughters, Mrs. Larry (Julia) Lemelle, Mrs. Ricky (Barbara) Lemelle, Mrs. Michael (Betty) St. Julian, and Mrs. Lenden (Mary) Lewis; brothers, Carlton, Eugene, Andrew and Harold Jolivet; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Victoria C. Guidry

Breaux Bridge – Funeral services are pending for Victoria Castille Guidry, 71, who passed away on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020.
She is survived by her father, Ames Castille; son, Nicholas Schexneider; daughters, Mrs. Brit (Nicole) Melancon and Mrs. Robert (Aimee) Hebert; brother, Johnny Castille; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie D. Guidry; and brother, Kenneth Castille.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.

Edna Bienvenu Landry

St. Martinville – We are sad to announce the notice of death of Edna Marie Bienvenu Landry. She left this earth to enter the promised land of Our Father in heaven.
Edna was born to Mr. Marcel “Blackie” Bienvenu and Mrs. Rhena Broussard Bienvenu on the 2nd of December, 1948 in St. Martinville, Louisiana. Edna is the third of four children that Mr. Blackie and Mrs. Rhena had during their marriage. She is survived by her three siblings, Henri Clay Bienvenu, Marcelle Bienvenu Lasserre and Bruce Bienvenu.
