Obituaries

St. Martinville – A Graveside Service was held on Friday, June 5, at St. Michael Cemetery for Merlin P. Wiltz, 82, who passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Willie (Susan) Henry, Mrs. Mark (Louella) Alexander, rs. Carl (Carolyn) West and Mrs. Darrell (Crystal) Wiltz); son, Anthony Wiltz Sr.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sara Benoit and Elizabeth Perrodin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Althea Gerard Wiltz.

Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Devin James Artigue, 30, who passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020.
A gathering of family and friends be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Pastor Jacob Aranza will officiate at the Memorial Service.

Parks – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at St. Louis Chapel for Mary Dell Berard, 62, who passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020, at St. Martin Hospital.
Visiting hours were observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary was prayed at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Nicholas DuPré officiated at the Funeral Mass. The Lector was Melissa Narcisse and Gift Bearers were Krystal Dauphine and Dana James-Maxie.
