Antoine ‘Hit’ Hebert

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Antoine “Hit” Hebert, 80, who passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday.
A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Dr. William Tally

Victoria, Texas – Dr. William Tally passed away from the effects of Parkinson’s disease on Sunday, July 5, 2020, in Victoria, Texas.
William was born January 29, 1944, in Henderson, Louisiana to Bennet Tally and Ella May Arnaud Tally. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dr. Tally graduated from Cecilia High School, attended Tulane University and graduated with a BA in Mathematics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1968. He earned an MA in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Mathematics from Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Devon Thurston Batiste

St. Martinville – Services were conducted for Mr Devon Thurston Batiste, 17, at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2020, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with the Micheal Survarski officiating.
The rosary was recited at the church.
Interment was in the St. Michael Cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of St. Martinville, he passed away in Henderson, Louisiana.
He was a football player for St. Martinville Sr. High and a former player for Breaux Bridge Sr. High.

Annabelle B. Alexander

Breaux Bridge – A Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, July 7, at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery for Annabelle Benjamin Alexander, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Anne Alexander, Mrs. Nathan (Amma) Jenkins, Prenella Gardner, Mrs. Warren (Pamela) Smothers and Penny Jacobs; son, Troy Patterson; sisters, Verna Charles, Mary Benjamin and Mrs. Hypolite (Rosa) Lagrange; and nine grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Alexander.
