Margaret A. Fontenette

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Margaret Fontenette, 74, who passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021.
She is survived by her daughters, Carlton (Dr. Annette) Lee, Belinda M. Smith, and Melinda, Lisa and Leslie Fontenette; four grandchildren; and brothers, Floyd and Paul Fontenette; sister, Mrs. Michael (Prenella) Kately.
Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nary Smith Jr.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 23, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Nary Smith, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Menard Smith; son, Nary Smith, Jr.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence, Randy and Donald Smith; and sisters, Shirley Simon, Mrs. Calvin (Alfreda) Mallery, Mrs. Lovelace (Octavia) Broussard, Mrs. George (Jenella) Malveaux, and Prenella and Mary Ann Smith.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Emilie Ethel Hebert Dever

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Emilie Ethel Hebert Dever, 78, who passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and continued on Sunday from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
A rosary was prayed by Geoff Gallet at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Ann B. Fancher

Catahoula – A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Feb. 1, at Dion Hall for Ann Lee Boudreaux Fancher, 80, who died on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Marshall; son, Paul J. Bijeaux Jr.; stepson, Wayne Fancher; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry, Jimmy, Johnny and Pat Boudreaux; and sisters, Helen Boudreaux and Anna L. Guiesendorf.
Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Simon Mozard Marks

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Simon Mozard Marks, 72, who passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday.
A rosary was prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Friday by Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery #2 in Breaux Bridge.
