St. Martinville – A Funeral Service was held on Monday, Feb. 1, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Hazel Marie Chambers, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021.
She is survived by her brothers, John, Raymond and Clarence Alexander Jr.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Parks – Ariel “A.J.” LeBlanc Jr. passed away on at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital.
A.J. was born on September 26, 1930, in Cecilia, La. and honorably served his country in the Korean War after volunteering for the U.S. Army. Among his joys in life were time spent with his family, his masterful cooking skills, his love for classic Western films, and mowing grass.
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Joseph “Boon” Surven Landry, 90, who passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
A rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum – No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Calice J. Bergeron Jr., 91, who passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continued on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary was prayed by the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Rev. Bill Melancon officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Randi Leigh Bonvillian and Trahé Bonvillian.
Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, Jan. 23, at Bethlehem Baptist for Jamall “Jigga” Bartholomew Menard, 40, who died on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.
Survivors include his parents, Elridge and Pauline Menard ; a sister, Ebony P. Menard; one son, JaKerrick Menard; three daughters, Jailee, Brooklyn and Jhania Menard; and one granddaughter.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
