Obituaries

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Michael Patrick John Braud, 64, who passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at his residence. Father Abelardo Gabriel, S.V.D. will officiate the Mass.
Inurnment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. at the Church.

Breaux Bridge – A service of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Carl Michel Simon. Deacon Ken Soignier of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia will officiate the ceremony.
Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery number 2 will follow at a later date.

St. Martinville – A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Stefan Mire, 32, who passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Candace R. Mire; two sons, Ayden M. and Jaxon J. Mire; mother, Darla L. Mire; sister, Heather Gonzales; maternal grandparents, John and Betty Landry; and paternal grandmother, Jacqueline R. Mire.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael A. Mire.
