Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, July 24, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge for Sherman Darby, 63, who passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
Interment was at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lucinda Darby; son, Derrick Darby; daughter, Miranda Darby; step-daughter, Raina Mason; three brothers, Melvin Darby, Leroy Darby and Kevin Darby; sister, Shelia Darby.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.

Gary Paul Bienvenu Jr.

Katy, Texas – Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 6 a.m., Gary Paul Bienvenu, Jr. went to be with Our Lord and Savior in Heaven surrounded by family at his home.
Our family lost an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Gary Paul had an extraordinarily strong faith in God and lived his life accordingly.
He was extremely respected and loved by his co-workers and bosses at Consolidated Crane & Rigging where he was employed for 25 years. They did and still do consider Gary Paul, Julie, and Chelsey their family.

MSgt. Joseph C. Cormier, USA, (Retired)

MSgt. Joseph Cormier was the first-born of the late Ashby Cormier (Lafayette) and the late Mable Skipper (Breaux Bridge), in Carencro, Louisiana on March 13, 1940. He departed this earth on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Joseph met the love of his life, the late Ruth Marie Cormier (Breaux Bridge), at a Valentine’s Day party and united in holy matrimony on May 5, 1962. Together, this couple blessed the New Llano and Leesville, Louisiana community. Joseph was the epitome of spiritual servanthood, a family man, and committed to community service.

Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Willis J. Lasseigne, Sr., 85, who passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
