Catahoula – Edmonia Guidry Latiolais was born on January 3rd, 1935, on a day when it was snowing, a rare sight for Louisiana. On this rare occasion God sent us a rare soul who would go on to help countless lives. Her loving father, Luke Guidry, made her a bottle of sugar water and smiled upon her.
Cecilia – A Funeral Service was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Yvonne Ann McFaul, 68, who passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St. Martin Hospital.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
A rosary wase prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Deacon Ken Soignier officiated at the Funeral Service. The reader was Kim Eddy.
Interment followed at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Melba Agnes Cormier, 84, who passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Abelardo Gabriel, SVD, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Shirret Leday, Shirley Simon, and Alex Anthony. Musical selections will be provided by Glenda Sonnier and Ashley Charles.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Bernard Dessens Breaux Sr., 89, who passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until time of service.
A Rosary was prayed at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
