Coteau Holmes – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Sept. 4 at St. Elizabeth Church for Shirley Sedatol Mayon Chatagnier, 74, who died on  Aug. 30, 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn Chatagnier Sr.; daughters, Karen Simon, Mrs. Johnny (Sandy) Horton and Mrs. Jerry (Tonia) Case; brothers, Mack and Cal Sedatol; sister, Maryann Pelous; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and step sons, Lynn Jr., Wydell and Cort Chatagnier.

Hazel V. Wiltz

Parks – A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 at St. Louis Mission Chapel for Hazel Mae Valsin Wiltz, 77, who died on Sept. 3, 2021.

Survivors include her children,  Mrs. Harvey (Michelle)  Mason, Brad Wiltz, Mrs. Mrs. Larry (Charlene)Coutee and Belinda Wiltz; two grandchildren; brothers, Octave, Milton J. and Russell Valsin;  and sisters, Dorothy Anthony, Theresa Etienne and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Wiltz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis John Wiltz

Vincent R. Lormand

Arnaudville - A Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville for Vincent R. Lormand, 64, who died on Aug. 23, 2021.

He is survived by his sons, Newton Pittman and Jansen R. Lormand; sisters, Linda Shannon, Mrs. Gerard (Tammy) Adams, Vicki Plaisted and Michelle Bowers; step-mother, Sylvia Lormand; and 11 step-siblings.  

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Yolande B. Guidry

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, Aug. 27 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Yolande Barras Guidry, 93, who died on Aug. 23, 2021.

She is survived by her sons, Lynn J., Darrel J. and Larry C. Guidry; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven J. Guidry. 

  Pellerin Funeral Home  was in charge of arrangements.

Martez Doucet

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 3 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Martez “Tez” Doucet, 23, who died on Aug. 23, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Melvina Doucet; son, Jayden A. Doucet; father, McKinley Doucet; mother, Lakeesha Gedward; sister, Q’uianna Gedward; and brothers, Makaveli and Caleb Doucet.
