Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Sept. 7 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for James Abraham, 60, who died on Aug. 31, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Davis Abraham; sons, Jarmal Davis, and Markeyton and Markaylon Abraham; daughters, Shawanna and Viola Davis, and Erica Abraham; eight grandchildren; mother, Willie Mae E. Abraham; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Lionel and Harold Abraham; and his godchild, Conkeisha Celestine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Abraham.

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was held on Sept. 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ernest Dadied Friedman III, 65, on Aug. 31, 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Joycelyn Friedman; brother, Tucker J. Friedman; sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Shelly) Benoit, Mrs. Davis (Myra) Tuttle and Mrs. Terry (Melinda) Guidry.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.

Breaux Bridge – Funeral Services are pending for Stephen J. Menard Sr. “Poncho”, 70, who died on Sept. 1, 2021.

He is survived by his sons, Steven Jr. and Kareem R. Menard I; daughter, Mrs. Dwayne (Rashawna) Hawkins (Dwayne); brother, Gerald Menard; sister, Linda Smith; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Menard.
