Lucy worked as a sales clerk in Breaux Bridge all of her life. In her younger years, she worked at Champagnes Bakery, Paul Dubernard store, and for years at Simon’s Pharmacy where she loved interacting with everyone that came through the door. In her retirement, she worked with her son Grover, at Angelle’s Vintage Treasures. She loved visiting and enjoying long conversations with old and new friends.

Lucy never lost her Cajun Heritage; communicating easily in French as well as English. She loved dancing and could be seen dancing on the sidewalk and waving at passersby.

Lucy is survived by her three children, Bonnie Angelle Abernathy (Gary Pitts, who always made her smile) of Phoenix, AZ; Tina Marie McKnight of Norfolk, NE; her son, Grover James Angelle of Breaux Bridge, LA; her sister, Beverly Latiolais Bourque; ex-husband, Grover Angelle; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Anne Guidry Latiolais, her brother and sister-inlaw, Russell and Lillian Latiolais, brother-inlaw, Joseph Bourque, son-in-law, Bernie Gene McKnight, and grandson, Pierre Michel Sauve.
