Jeanette Dore Viator

Coteau – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in New Iberia for Jeanette Dore Viator, 89, who passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in Lafayette.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Rev. Ed Degeyter was the Celebrant.

A gathering of family and friends was held on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home. Visitation continued on Monday from 7 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.

Gregory ‘Jap’ Sam

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Gregory “Jap” Sam, 61, who passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at his residence.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Rev. Darren Benoit, pastor of Union Baptist Church of St. Martinville, will officiate at the Funeral Service.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Joann B. Courville

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Joann B. Courville, 78, who passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continued on Friday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. 

A rosary wase prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Michael ‘Bubba’ Reed

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Michael “Bubba” Reed, 23, who passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at his residence.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and continued on Sunday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.

Interment followed at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.

William Rogers ‘Bill’ Clark

Las Cruces, New Mexico – A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for William Rogers “Bill” Clark. Bill passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was 60 years young and a resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Bill was born in St. Martinville, Louisiana to William and Beverly Trahan Clark on February 17, 1961. He graduated from Carrol High, Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended college then enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged after ten years.
