Val Champagne

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home or Val Champagne, 65, who passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his wife and daughters.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service.

Interment will follow at a later date.

Ellen H. Champagne

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Ellen H. Champagne, 67, who passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family. 

Rev. Bill Melancon officiated at the Funeral Mass. Reader was Carlie Bourque.

Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services are pending for Val Champagne, 65, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.

Katie Mae (Romero) Moore

Arp, Texas – Katie Mae (Romero) Moore, our beloved Sister, Momma, Granny, GG and Friend crossed over into Glory Friday evening, October 22, 2021.  

Katie was born June 4, 1936, in St. Martinville, Louisiana to Robley and Alzire Henry Romero.

Nell Granger

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Nell Granger, 103, who passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A rosary was prayed at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. 

Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
