Clarence Girouard Sr.

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Clarence J. Girouard Sr., 93, who passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemeterya.
He honorably served his country in the U. S. Army and was awarded The Purple Heart.
He is survived by his sons, Rickey Goulas and Clarence “Quank” Girouard Jr.; daughter, Mrs. Eddie (Dianne) Goulas; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mazel Anthony

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Union Baptist Church for Mazel Anthony, 77, who passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018.
She is survived by her sons, Cody Sr., Clifford Sr., Horace and Stacy Anthony; daughters, Mrs. Ken (Rochanda) Draylon, Mrs. Eric (Renese) Stevenson and Rose Anthony; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, John, Raymond and Clarence Alexander; and sister, Hazel Chamber.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace “Chune” Anthony Sr.; daughter, Roskanda D. Anthony; and a grandchild. 

Murley Seneca

Henderson – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, Dec. 28, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Murley Seneca, 83, who passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018.
Interment followed at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Mickey, Alvin Jr., Carl and Bert Seneca; brothers, Roland and Russell Louviere, and Jeff Frederick; sister, Louella Louviere; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Seneca Sr.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson was in charge of arrangements.

Ames Antoine Guidry

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Ames Antoine Guidry, 91, who passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Joseph ‘Sing’ Bonin

St. Martinville – Joseph “Sing’ Bonin, 82, a longtime resident of St. Martinville, La. died peacefully at home on Monday, December 10, 2018.
Born to Elmore Francis and Gertrude Steckler Bonin, “Sing” graduated from St. Martinville Senior High in 1954 and received a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from LSU, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He remained a passionate fan of LSU Tiger football for the rest of his life.
