Doris Oubre Decoux

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Doris O. Decoux, 89, who passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Dion Hall, 4452 Catahoula Hwy. (Hwy. 96), Catahoula, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eulogy will be read by Mark Decoux.

Oscar Louis Ducharme Jr.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Oscar Louis Ducharme Jr., 95, who passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
A rosary was prayed at 12 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Linda Gail Peter

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at Bethlehem Baptist Church for Linda Gail Peter, 67.
Interment followed at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.
She died on Jan. 3, 2018.
Survivors include her sister, Gloria P. Hypolite; one brother, Robert L. Peter; two sons, Jude T. and Timothy B. Pickney; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers, Mary A. Peter, Willie M. Borel, Alice Ledet, Lois Smith and Velma Pickney; and Phillip and Rudolph Peter.

Ashley Marie Lasseigne

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Ashley Marie Lasseigne, 34, who passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in Breaux Bridge.
Visiting hours were observed at the Dion Hall from 2 p.m. on Friday until service time on Saturday. A rosary was prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Richard Fabre officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers werbe Stacy Powell and Tasha Robicheaux. Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.

Linda Thomassee

Leonville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 13, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church for Linda Thomassee, 70, who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at her residence.
Interment followed at St. Leo the Great Cemetery.
Linda served our country in the United States Marine Corps.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Jason (Collette) Fitzgerald; her son, Johnny Plumb; step-sons, Robert W., James and Kent Thomassee; sisters, Jean Gautreaux, Norma Wiltz and Mrs. Robert (Pat) Braud; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
