Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial wascelebrated on March 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Darven Boudreaux, 56, who died on March 5, 2023.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Noel; father, Sherman Boudreaux; son, Zack T. Huval; brothers, Todd and Ross Noel; and his sisters, Melissa Breaux, Kim Taylor and Lacey McCarthy.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Joy Rita Broussard Laperouse, 87, who passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.
A visitation took place at the funeral home on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 1:45p.m.
A rosary was prayed at 10 a.m. on Friday.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Rose Mae Alexander Lewis, 91, who passed away March 10, 2023 at her residence.
A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday from 7 a.m. until the time of the mass.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Abelardo Gabriel will officiate at the funeral mass.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Johnny Frederick, 73, who passed away on February 18, 2023, at Iberia Medical Center.
A visitation took place at Dion Hall in Catahoula on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. and continued all night until Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church for Wildie Degeyter Roberts, 90, who passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
