William Rogers ‘Bill’ Clark

Las Cruces, New Mexico – A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for William Rogers “Bill” Clark. Bill passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was 60 years young and a resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Bill was born in St. Martinville, Louisiana to William and Beverly Trahan Clark on February 17, 1961. He graduated from Carrol High, Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended college then enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged after ten years.

While stationed in Norfolk, Va. he met and married his life-long partner, Alison Clark. He was a longtime employee of Oceaneering International and Halliburton. After Covid, he had recently accepted a position with Actalent Aerotek.

Bill loved to explore and travelled extensively both abroad and in the United States. He had a passion for military history, he had in-depth computer knowledge and would do research constantly, he enjoyed cooking and had recently taken up gardening,  was an avid sports enthusiast, a voracious reader who could discuss any subject with authority. 

Above all, he loved his family to a fault. He became a proud father to one daughter, Meaghan, who delighted him at every turn. He was a devoted husband of 33 years to his wife, Alison. Bill shared an intensely close relationsip with his mother and his brother. When he became a grandfather, he glowed with delight.

He will be kept alive in all our memories because he had such joy and devotion in his heart. He was so looking forward to retirement so he could spend more time with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Alison; his daughter, Meaghan Clark-Johnson; and  granddaughter, Vivienne; parents, William Gordon Clark and Beverly Trahan Clark; his only brother, Michael Clark and wife Catherine; nieces, Elizabeth and Emily Clark; his son-in-law, Andrew Johnson; and numerous relatives.

Bill is predeceased by his grandparents,  Curtis and Dr. Eugenia Briscoe,  Dudley and Noelie Trahan; and his uncle, Rogers Trahan.
