Wallace was born in Cameron Parish on January 28, 1927 and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on July 15, 2023. He was the son of the late Wallace and Laurmie Peshoff Primeaux.

Wallace was part of the greatest generation and his servant lifestyle demonstrated this. He accepted the call from the Lord to go into the ministry and never looked back. Wallace began his preaching ministry in 1947, after serving in the US Army during World War II. He married the love of his life, Ora Dean Brunson in 1945. Together they served the Lord until her death in 1998, a total of 53 years.

While in college, he ministered on weekends in Pineville, LA. In 1952, he completed that semester and permanently moved his family to Oak Grove in Cameron Parish, where he pastored Oak Grove and Grand Chenier Baptist Churches for 10 years. During the years of his ministry in Oak Grove, Hurricane Audrey came through Cameron Parish and destroying everything in its path; Wallace and his family narrowly escaped with their lives.

In 1958, Wallace and his wife were called to the Pastorate at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church – St. Martinville, along with their seven children, serving in that capacity for 15 years. After her death in 1998, the Lord blessed him with another partner in ministry, Marianna, and together they served the Lord for 22 years, until his retirement in early 2021.

After 21 years of service as one of the Directors of Missions for the Louisiana Baptist Convention, Wallace retired from that position. However, he continued to serve in the capacity of full time pastor of Esther Baptist Church from 1994 - January 2021. Wallace faithfully served the Lord for 74 years.
