Ruby Landry Menard

Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Ruby Landry Menard, 93, who passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Bernard Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday. 

Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

Inurnment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Ruby was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, as well as a Rosary Group. 

Ruby was a devoted homemaker, who truly did it all. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and baking pies and cakes. Ruby loved spending time with her family, especially for Sunday get-togethers where she got to cook for everyone.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her son, Benny Menard (Yvonne); daughters, Elaine Delhomme (Jack Dale), Diane Reed and Lillie Breaux; grandchildren, Chance Delhomme, Casey Delhomme (Tracy), Kelli Calais (Rob), Rachael Lemoine (Mike), Kyle Guidry (Hallie), Matt Menard (Aja) and Lucas Menard (Nicole); great-grandchildren, Cole Delhomme, Brooke Delhomme, Mitch Lemoine, Micah Lemoine, Jimmy Jordan, Jesse Jordan, Max Guidry, Blythe Bull, Benjamin Menard, Edith Menard, Otto Menard and Arlo Menard; and sister-in-law, Elsie Dugas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norille Menard; great-grandchild, Leo Guidry; sons-in-law, Francis Reed and Jeff Breaux; parents, Amilcar Landry and Florestine Angelle Landry; brother, Russell Landry; and sisters, Bernice Castille, Viola Malorin, Iva Mae Durio and Oline Babineaux.

Urn bearer will be Benny Menard.

Honorary bearers will be Jack Dale Delhomme, Chance Delhomme, Casey Delhomme, Kyle Guidry, Matt Menard, Luke Menard, Rob Calais and Mike Lemoine. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Hospice of Acadiana (https://hospiceacadiana.com/donate), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/) or EWTN (https://www.ewtn.com/missions/love-and-understanding-of-god-1?src=navbtn).
