Roy J. Dauphine

St. Martinville – Funeral Services were conducted for Mr. Roy J. Dauphine, 74, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Butch Hebert officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Dauphine passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Landmark of Acadiana surrounded by his family.
Mr. Dauphine was employed as a dispatcher for the City of St. Martinville for many years. He enjoyed playing music, especially guitar and loved his animals.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Dauphine of St. Martinville and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evon Champlin Dauphine; step son, Dwayne Clock; parents, Paul and Louise Theriot Dauphine; one sister, Edith D. Douet; and six brothers, Henry, Aurelien, Lawrence, Dan, Lester and Avon Dauphine.
