Rosa Cormier Latiolais

Breaux Bridge – Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Rosa Cormier Latiolais, 86, who passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at her Our Lady of Lourdes.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Sunday.

Rev. Michael DeBlanc conducted the services. Readers were Melissa Patin, Donna Latiolais and Piper Laperouse.

Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.

Rosa was born May 10, 1936, in Breaux Bridge. She was a devout Catholic and faithfully prayed each day. She was a dedicated adorer at St. Bernard’s Chapel of Perpetual Adoration, a member of St. Bernard Grief Program, St. Martin Hospital Pink Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and many years ago was a member of the Flamin’ Cajun Campers, alongside her husband, Ronald. Rosa enjoyed doing crafts and working her flower beds. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by son, Craig Joseph (Donna) Latiolais; daughters, Chyrl Faye Latiolais and Charlene Marie (Jeff) Guidry; grandsons, Jake (Shantell) Primeaux, Seth Broussard, Miguel Latiolais, Joshua Latiolais, and Zachary (Kalli) Latiolais; granddaughters, Laci (Shaune) Laperouse and Gabrielle Latiolais; great-grandchildren, Jolie Laperouse, Piper Laperouse, Edie Primeaux and Brinley Latiolais; and her sister-in-law, Norma Cormier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Latiolais; parents, Felix and Beulah Champagne Cormier; brother, John Allen Cormier; granddaughter, Sadie Broussard; in-laws, George and Noelda Latiolais; and her dog, “Suree.”

Pallbearers were Craig Latiolais, Jake Primeaux, Miguel Latiolais, Joshua Latiolais, Zachary Latiolais and Shaune Laperouse.

Honorary pallbearers were Dwight Cormier and Dwayne Cormier.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, especially to her nurses, Abbey, Ashtyn and Madi.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
