Ronald ‘Hollywood’ Michael Dugas

Parks – Funeral services were conducted for Ronald Michael “Hollywood” Dugas, 74, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Parks Baptist Church. Rob Burdeaux officiated. 

Interment followed at St. Bernard # 2 with Military Honors being performed by the Acadiana Veteran Honor Guard.

A gathering of family and friends took place at Parks Baptist Church on Wedneday, December 22, 2021, from 9 a.m. until the service time.

A native of Louisiana and resident of Silvercreek, Miss., Mr. Dugas passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Midsouth Happy Living in Mississippi.

Ronald was born on October 14, 1947, in St. Martinville, La. to Harold P. Dugas Sr. (deceased) and Corona Crawford Dugas (deceased). Ronald honorably served in the United States Navy on an Aircraft Carrier off the coast of Vietnam.

After his service Ronald battled with mental illness the rest of his life as a disabled Veteran. Ronald was a kind and giving individual. He would give away all of his belongings to fellow veterans. Ronald loved his family dearly.

He is survived by sisters, Dianna D. Winters and Peggy D. Angelle (Perry); brothers, Kenneth J. Dugas (Linda), Christopher D. Dugas (Muszehan) and David R. Dugas (Melinda); nieces and nephews, Tammy D. Wiese, Harold “Pat” Dugas III, Scott Bienvenu (Kenshasa), Benjamin J. Bienvenu, Alexandra L. Angelle, Brooke N. Dugas, Koleman C. Dugas, Logan D. Dugas, Jordan P. Dugas, Krisya S. Dugas and Collin C. Dugas; two great nieces and three great nephews

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold “Sonny” Dugas Jr., Leroy J. Dugas and Louis F. Dugas; sister, Delores D. Bienvenu; sister-in-law, Joan “Dottie” M. Dugas; great niece, Angel E. Clements; and great nephew, Alec James Bienvenu.

Pallbearers were Christopher Dugas, David Dugas, Jordan Dugas, Benjamin Bienvenu, Logan Dugas and Koleman Dugas.

Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Dugas and Perry Angelle
