Randy ‘Blue’ Latiolais

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Randy “Blue” Latiolais, 71, who passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, in New Orleans.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. It will continue on Friday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. 

A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening by Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert. 

Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Brooks Delahoussaye and Joni Ashley. Gift bearers will be Parrish Latiolais and Kole Stelly. 

Inurnment will follow at a later date at St. Bernard Cemetery #2 in Breaux Bridge. 

Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He had a passion for hunting and was an active member of several hunting clubs. He found joy in spending time and sharing countless memorable moments with his friends. Randy also enjoyed going to the casino, photography, and he delighted in cooking for his loved ones. 

Randy was known for his friendly nature and he never met a stranger. He touched the lives of many with his kind-heartedness and compassionate spirit. Randy will be remembered as an amazing caregiver, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rena Gray Latiolais; daughters, Jackie Latiolais and Shannon Alexander; son, Kurtis Latiolais; grandchildren, Malana Latiolais, Kyla Alexander, Felicia Alexander, Parrish Latiolais, and Kole Stelly; great-grandchild, Reece Boutte; sister, Janet Cary (Darrel); sisters-in-law, Janet “Peppie” Boudreaux, Ellen Latiolais and Sylvia Gray; and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Latiolais and Mary Jane Hebert Latiolais; brother, John Scott Latiolais; sister, Brenda Latiolais; parents-in-law, Ulysses and Ethel Latiolais; and brothers-in-law, Floyd Gray, Benny Gray and Walter Boudreaux. 

Pallbearers will be Alex Latiolais, Joshua Latiolais, Anthony Choate, Daven Delahoussaye, Felicia Alexander and Collin “Bob” Reed. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Kurtis Latiolais, Kole Stelly, Parrish Latiolais, Brandon Stelly, Mark Stelly, Leland Baker, Reece Boutte, Kyla Alexander, Chris Reed and Ted Boudreaux.
