Pierre ‘Pete’ Dupuis

Cecilia – A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Pierre “Pete” Dupuis, 80, who passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at his residence.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m.

A rosary will be prayed at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.

Pete began working for Hebert’s Creamery at just 14 years old. He was employed there for his whole life, through many ownership changes until his retirement.

In his younger years, he enjoyed riding in horse shows, hunting, tractors and woodworking. Pete was a big John Wayne fan and loved watching old western movies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Barras Dupuis; daughters, Leslie Dupuis and Theresa Clause (Todd); sons, Luke Dupuis and Louis Dupuis; grandchildren, Brodi Dupuis (Amber), Michael Clause, Lacie Dupuis, Gabriel Costley and Tiffany Dupuis; and great-grandchildren, Kiley Dupuis, Ally Richard, Raven Dupuis, Hayden Dupuis and Connor Dupuis.

He is preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dale Costley; grandchild, Amber Dupuis; and parents, Luke Dupuis and Theresa Dupuis.

Pallbearers will be Louis Dupuis, Luke Dupuis, Brodi Dupuis, Michael Clause, Gabriel Costley and Todd Clause.
