Northly Joseph Broussard

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Northly Joseph Broussard, 92, who passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Ugochukwu Jerome Cletus, SSJ, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kasie Rossyion and Melissa Lewis. Gift Bearers Kevin Jones and Vanessa Calais-Jones.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. Broussard honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver and the School Board Zoning Committee. Northly was the treasurer and a Lay Minister at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was an avid family man who cherished moments spent with the ones he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Roseline Celestine Broussard of Breaux Bridge; daughter, Stella Broussard Winfield and husband Reggie of New Orleans; son, Horace James Broussard and wife Glenda of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Elonda Broussard of Breaux Bridge, Courtland Broussard and spouse Harri of Atlanta, Ga., Karen Broussard Batiste and spouse Albert of Carencro, Adrian Broussard of Breaux Bridge, Horace Broussard Jr. of Breaux Bridge; great-grandchildren, Raelon Semere of Breaux Bridge, Hunter Semere of Breaux Bridge, Alicia Broussard of Breaux Bridge, Alaysia Broussard of Breaux Bridge, and Blaise Broussard of Atlanta, Ga.; and sister, Mary Broussard Celestine and husband Joseph of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre and Roseline Jolivette Broussard; son, Eddie Broussard; brothers, Audy Broussard, Antoine Broussard, Alexis Broussard, Pierre Broussard and Louis “Allen” Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Semere, Courtland Broussard, Adrian Broussard, Horace Broussard Jr., Joseph Sanford Celestine and Kevin Celestine.
Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Broussard, Larry Broussard Sr., Albert Batiste, Raelon Semere, Larry Broussard Jr. and Bradley Calais, Jr.
