Monique Michelle Huval

Cecilia –- A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Monique Michelle Huval, 39, who passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday from 7 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
A rosary was prayed by Deacon Ken Soignier at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Cindy Huval. Gift bearers were Natalie Guidry and Dixie Poche.
Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Monique was a loving daughter and mother, who adored her children and her family. She was a devoted caregiver to her late fiancé, Jude. As a pastime, Monique enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her mother, Maxine Huval; son, Orie Savant; her daughter, Jenna Savant; maternal grandmother, Genevieve Huval; paternal grandparents, Harry and Aimee Savoy Huval; aunts, Cindy Huval and Ginger Huval; godmother, Dixie Poche; godfather, Rocky Guidry; and her cousins, André Huval, Natalie Guidry, Renee Poche and Roby Poche.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Huval; maternal grandfather, Jesse Huval; and fiancé, Jude Myers.
Pallbearers were Andre Huval, Snapper Dore, Darrell Huval, Chance Myers, Reilly Trahan and Jared Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers were Orie Savant, Rocky Guidry and Carroll Huval.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
