Milfin was born on November 16, 1966, in Port Arthur, Texas. At the age of 6 weeks his care was entrusted to his godmother, Mathilda Antoine Perrodin and her husband, Adam Joseph Perrodin. They lovingly raised him as their own and later adopted him.
He was raised in St. Martinville in a big and loving family. Milfin was a 1984 graduate of St. Martinville Sr. High. He spent most of his adult years in Lafayette, where he loved to ride the city buses and run errands for the bus drivers.
Milfin was a kind and gentle soul. He called himself a friendly “Bob”. And indeed he was! He was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. No one could resist his charm! His enthusiastic and happy greeting to everyone he encountered was: “Hello, ma’am/sir! I want to wish you a wonderful day! God Bless you!”
In 2019, Milfin moved to Houston, Texas to be nearer to his big sister. He really enjoyed the big city! Milfin was a big sports fan! His favorite pastime while living in Houston was exploring the sports stadiums and learning about the local teams. Although, he no longer lived in Louisiana, his favorite team was still the New Orleans Saints!
Milfin’s other favorite pastimes were eating, watching wrestling matches, and chatting with friends and family. He had the gift of gab and loved to tell stories that ended with a huge belly laugh.
Milfin is survived by his brother, Jason Peridon (Aline) of Benton, La.; sisters, Margaret Daigle (Freddie) of Lafayette, Patricia Cook (Lee) of Arlington, Texas, Linda Mallery (Davis) of Houston, Texas, Vanessa Perrodin of St Martinville and Melissa Thomas of Breaux Bridge; and a host of nieces. nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathilda Antoine Perrodin and Adam Perrodin; sister, Etalia Auzenne; brother, Glenn Dell Perrodin; and brothers-in-law, Alvin Auzenne and Elvis Thomas.
The family would like to thank the staff at Clear Brook Crossing Rehabilitation and Healthcare and Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, Texas for making his last days so comfortable. They would also like to thank Dr. Andrew Kopel and the staff at Houston Eye Associates for taking such good care of his declining eyesight thus allowing him to continue enjoying his favorite pastimes.
And last but not least, a special shout out to Mrs. Edmonia Robertson (Mrs. Chocola) of St. Martinville for opening her heart and home to him during his formative years after we lost our mom. Her home was truly his second home!
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
