Breaux Bridge – A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Teche Baptist Church for Michelle Marie Smith, 51, who passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018.
Pastor Jim E. Sellers, II and Pastor Ken Graham will officiate at the Celebration of Life.
Interment will follow at a later date.
Michelle was born August 29, 1966, in Lafayette. La. She was a special person to everyone she came in contact with. Her witty and fun-loving personality could put a smile on anyone’s face. She enjoyed looking at her magazines, swinging outside and was always ready to go ride and visit.
A favorite pastime for Michelle was selling alligators with her father and special friend, Coach Patin. Michelle loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and brother, who she thought of as third parent. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving mother, Sandra Sellers Smith; brother, Jamie George and wife Michelle W. Smith; nieces, Allison Paige Smith and Jordan Leigh Smith; uncle, Jim E. Sellers II and wife Treva; and aunts, Janet S. Tillman and husband David, and Patti Peairs Smith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald “Jerry” Smith; maternal grandparents, James E. and Louise H. Sellers; paternal grandparents, George D. and Mable M. Smith Sr.; uncle, George D. Smith Jr.; and aunt, Connie Smith.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her partner-in-crime, Tina Landry; stylist, April Raymond; horse wrangler, Catina Boyd; sitters, Stacey Stelly and Melissa Lopez; Ashely Guidry with Med Resource; Arc of St. Martin; and NSI Hospice for the love and support given to Michelle in her time of need.
