Lucy LaGrange Hardy

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Lucy Hardy, 88, who passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Lucy served as a member of The Ladies Altar Society and The Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Pokeno, bingo and going to the casino. Cooking, baking, gardening, sewing and quilting were her favorite hobbies.
She is survived by her two sons, Keith Hardy (Lillian) and Gary Hardy (Linda); two daughters, Bonnie Duplechain (Jackie) and Theresa Gautreaux (Harvey); 12 grandchildren, Scarlett LeBlanc, Sasha Calais, Toby Gautreaux, Amanda Patin, Brandon Hardy, Emily Hardy, Dylan Hardy, Jake Hardy, Emma Hardy, Meagan Hardy, Logan Hardy and Hogan Hardy; and 16 great-grandchildren, Courtney LeBlanc, Macey LeBlanc, Carli Calais, Tristen Gautreaux, Tyler Gautreaux, Jordan Gautreaux, Braydon Gautreaux, Drew Patin, Bayla Patin, Payton Patin, Luca Muffoletto, Elyse Hardy, Ansley Hardy, Barrett Hardy, Sebastyn Hardy and Morgan Hardy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Hardy; parents, Maurice and Regina Olivier LaGrange; three brothers, Joseph LaGrange, Harry Lee LaGrange and J.B. LaGrange; sister, Odile Thibodeaux; and a grandchild, Jeremy Gautreaux.
Pallbearers will be Toby Gautreaux, Drew Patin, Hogan Hardy, Logan Hardy, Jake Hardy and Brandon Hardy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to J. Michael Memorial Nursing Home and staff for the loving care provided for Ms. Lucy until her last day, as well as the ICU staff, Dr. Raza, Dr. Elliot and Gabe Robin at Opelousas General Health System.
