Lillian Theriot Degeyter

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Lillian Theriot Degeyter, 88, who passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at St. Martin Hospital. 
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. 
A rosary wase prayed by Sister Ameline Theriot at 6 p.m. on Sunday. 
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. The reader was Larry Boyer. Gift Bearers were Joyce N. Champagne and Mary Jane Ozenne. 
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. 
Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Her family was her pride and joy and she cherished moments spent with them, especially babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian enjoyed playing Bingo, baking, and decorating for Christmas time. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. 
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Delahoussaye and Vorena Boyer and husband Larry; son, James Degeyter and wife Sharleen; brothers, Milton Theriot and wife Joyce, and Clarence Theriot and wife Ozia; sisters, Odell Lovell, Maydelle Dupuis and husband Lawrence, Sister Ameline Theriot, Joyce Champagne and husband Jessie, and Mary Jane Ozenne; grandchildren, Sandi Orson and spouse John, Byran Delahoussaye and spouse Kimberly, Toby Degeyter and spouse Cherri, Tanner Degeyter and spouse Rachal, April Boyer, Adam Boyer and spouse Brittany, Alex Boyer and companion, Chelsea; and her great-grandchildren, Tristan Orson, Ashton Orson, Carmen Degeyter, Tagen Degeyter and Jansson Boudreaux. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Degeyter; parents, Alexie and Jeanne Blanchard Theriot Sr.; son-in-law, Gerald Delahoussaye; brother, Alexie Theriot Jr.; sisters, Mildred Degeyter and Aline Guidry; and her brothers-in-law, Tony Ozenne and Ray Lovell. 
Pallbearers werbe Byran Delahoussaye, Toby Degeyter, Adam Boyer, Alex Boyer, Tristan Orson and John Orson. 
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
