Lena Ann Dore

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Lena Ann Dore, 81, who passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Father Blake Dubroc will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Lena was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and served her parish as a Lay Minister. She enjoyed cooking, reading, dancing, singing karaoke, playing bingo, and participating in football pools. Lena will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three sons, Larry Dore of New Iberia, Edward (Erin) Dore of New Iberia and Patrick (Katherine) Dore of New Iberia; two daughters, Faye (Patrick) Thibodeaux of Parks and Tammy Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Clarence (Mary Alice “Dee”) Champagne of New Iberia and Allen Champagne of St. Martinville; two sisters, Aline (Roland) Louviere of Breaux Bridge and Elanie Deaville of Iota; 14 grandchildren, Joshua Dore, Aaron Dore, Shane and Mickey Thibodeaux, Amanda Montet, Ashley Burleigh, Megan Thibodeaux, Mark Thibodeaux, Laci Talley, Kris Talley, Kayla Talley, Reeves Dore, Pierce Dore, Jacob and Jeanine Dore and Mikayla Dore; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Dore; daughter, Yvonne Talley; parents, Freddie and Anne Guidry Champagne; brother, Fred Champagne; and sister, Irene Champagne.
Pallbearers will be Larry Dore, Edward Dore, Patrick Dore, Kris Talley, Shane Thibodeaux and Mark Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Champagne, Allen Champagne Sr. and Mickey Thibodeaux.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
