Lance Michael Borel

Parks – Lance Michael Borel of Parks, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2020, surrounded by his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
A eulogy wase read by Michelle Borel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by a rosary that was prayed by Deacon Perry Guidry at 7 p.m.
Rev. Nicholas DuPré officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Michelle Borel and Brooke Thibodeaux. Gift bearers were his Godparents, Corey Vincent and Pam Blanchard.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Lance was a loving fiancé, father, son, and brother. He was known for his exceptional electrical skills and enjoyed creating new things. He was known for his kindness and huge heart. His proudest accomplishments were his three boys, whom he loved more than words could express.
Lance was born to parents Terry and Mona Boudreaux Borel on December 21, 1982 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from Breaux Bridge High School in 2001.
Lance is survived by his three sons, Ethan Gabriel Borel, Elijah Michael Borel and Timothy Paul Borel; fiancée, Kayla Nicole Thibodeaux; parents, Mona and Terry Borel; brother, Lucas Borel (wife Michelle); and nephews, Gavin and Remy Borel, all of Parks, Louisiana. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Evrard and Eunice Borel; and maternal grandparents, Rose Latiolais and Deno Boudreaux, all of St. Martinville.
Pallbearers were Joshua Boudreaux, Casey Berthelot, Harold Safford Jr., Matthew Case, Jeremy Landry and Lucas Borel.
Honorary pallbearers were Ethan Borel, Elijah Borel, Timothy Borel and Gavin Borel.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at University Hospital, specifically Dr. Charles Halliburton and Kelly Rawlison, RN, who took exceptional care of Lance during his final days.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
