Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial wase celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Kerry Theriot, 52, who passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continued on Friday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday by Deacon Butch Hebert.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scripture was read by Betty Theriot. Gift Bearers were her children.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery #2 in Breaux Bridge.
Kerry loved hanging out with her family and friends and cooking while listening to Classic Country Saturday Night Music. She never met a stranger and people became friends with her at first sight. Kerry’s grandchildren were her everything and there was nothing in the world that she wouldn’t do for them. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brooke Champagne of Breaux Bridge and Lexi LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; son, Kaleb Courvelle of Arnaudville; seven grandchildren, Ashton LeBlanc, Lana Doucet, Haven Williams, Brayden Burch, Bryce Doucet, Emersyn Champagne and Ellia Champagne; two brothers, Brian (Ginger) Theriot of St. Martinville and Brandon (Gwen) Harrington of Breaux Bridge; and sister, Christie (Chris Hebert) Theriot of Iota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan J. and Brenda Gail Richard.
Pallbearers were Ashton LeBlanc, Brayden Burch, Brian Theriot, Brandon Harrington, Joey Richard and Chris Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers were Webey Dugas Jr., Bryce Doucet and Austin Theriot.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge wais in charge of arrangements.
