Jon Breaux

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Jon Breaux, 35, who passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

The family requested visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. on Sunday evening by Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert.

Father Garrett McIntyre officiated at the funeral mass. Readers were Chris McGough and Blair Champagne. Gift Bearers were Lisa Waller and Claire McGough.

Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.

Jon was a 2007 graduate of Cecilia High School. He went on to earn an Associates Degree in Industrial Technology from Louisiana Technical Collage and South Louisiana Community College. Jon was employed for many years as an oilfield technician. He took great pride in his work and his attention to detail on his jobs never went unnoticed. He was skilled in heavy equipment machinery. Jon then started his own business, “Dirt Logic”, where he provided dirt work and excavation services. 

Jon loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. He was always seen with a smile on his face and was known for being the life of the party. Jon will be remembered as a caring and loving husband and father; his two daughters were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Tiffany Doré Breaux; daughters, Lana Breaux and Leighton Breaux; parents, Ralph Breaux and Priscilla Thibodeaux Breaux; sisters, Claire McGough (Chris) and Lisa Waller (Casey); nephews, Jake Waller and Luke Waller; and niece, Ana McGough.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Kenneth “Half-Pint” Thibodeaux; maternal grandparents, Lee and Luna Castex Thibodeaux; and paternal grandparents, Louis and Judith Prejean Breaux.

Pallbearers were Lane Larose, Blaise Guidry, Ryan Bordelon, Treg Dore’, Jean Douet and Arin Spillers.

Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Breaux, Dean Doré, Richard Guidry and Chucky Camel.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
