Herman John Courville

Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Herman John Courville, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, in Breaux Bridge.
Herman was born February 6, 1944, in Catahoula. He enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing and gardening were the things that kept him very busy. It gave him much joy to share his vegetables with his loved ones. Herman’s family was very important to him and he cherished every moment spent with them. He loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gail Amy Courville; sons, Kevin Courville of Breaux Bridge and Kasey Courville and wife Jamie of Youngsville; daughter, Karla Hector and husband Johnny of Lafayette; grandchildren, Ethan Courville, Lane Courville, Myles Hebert, Ali Hebert and Gabrielle Hector; great-grandchildren, Hayden Hebert, Drew Hebert, Laila Smith and Jacie Smith; brother, Herbert Courville and wife Georgia of Catahoula; and sister, Linda Bourque of St. Martinville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Madia Latiolais Courville; and one sister, Lee Anna Savoy.
