Florine Thibodeaux Guidry

Breaux Bridge –- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Florine Thibodeaux Guidry, 75, who passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. Thursday and continue until 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
A rosary will be prayed in the evening on Thursday.
Reverend Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Emily Currier, Elisa Currier and Madeline LeBlanc. Gift bearers will be Shae Lee and Angela Racca. A eulogy will be read by Amber McGrew.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Florine was a woman of God and the Matriarch of her family. She had an incredibly strong faith and her heart was larger than life. Florine loved her family and friends dearly and truly cherished every moment. She was a hardworking wife and mother.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed where the journey took her – as a Beautician, a Florist and wearing a pink hard hat working for Boh Brothers Construction – she was truly a ‘Jack of all trades.’ She was generous beyond measure and always brought laughter and smiles to her company. She enjoyed her coffee any time of the day, Bingo, Pokeno and cardinal watching.
She will be deeply missed every day by her family, friends and all who had the delight of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica G. Currier and husband Rodney, Deirdre Collette and husband Danny, and Monique Lee; grandchildren, Amber McGrew and spouse Josh, Trent Collette, Emily Currier, Elisa Currier, Justin Lee and Shae Lee; great-grandchildren, Mya and Sophia McGrew, and Darien and Demi Payne; brothers, Raymond Thibodeaux, and Floyd Thibodeaux and wife Brenda; special nephew, Marty Guidry; and godchildren, Madeline LeBlanc, Chippy Guidry and Angela Racca.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jessie Luke Guidry; and her parents, Cleff “Black” and Enola Landry Thibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Marty Guidry, Trent Collette, Justin Lee, Rodney Currier, Josh McGrew and Danny Collette.
Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Thibodeaux, Floyd Thibodeaux and Chippy Guidry.
