Eula Mae ‘Put’ Borel Calais

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Eula Mae “Put” Borel Calais, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in Houston, Texas.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary was prayed at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial. Reader was Annette Borel Malveaux. Gift Bearers were Haley and Lauren Malveaux.
Interment followed at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Calais enjoyed working outside in her flower beds, talking on the phone with family and friends, watching Tv, and listening to gospel music. She was employed at Methodist Hospital in Houston for 33 years.
She is survived by her sisters, Emily Robicheaux of Arnaudville and Mary O. Williams of Breaux Bridge; brother, Abel Borel and wife Joanna of Breaux Bridge; and Godchild, Curley Williams of Breaux Bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Calais Jr.; father, George Borel Sr.; mother, Enola Borel; silblings, Mary Louise Williams, George Borel Jr., Nola Mae Durall and John Borel; and Goddaughter, Betty Robicheaux.
Pallbearers were Jack Williams, Darius Borel, Kent Johnson, Kevin Joseph Sr., Noah Livings and Montrel Carter.
Honorary pallbearers were Abel Borel, Curley Williams and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
