Danny Francis Guidry

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Danny Francis Guidry, 67, who passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his residence. 

A visitation was held at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. 

A rosary was prayed at 2 p.m. on Saturday. 

Deacon Perry Guidry officiated at the funeral service. 

Danny was born on September 6, 1955, in Arnaudville. Growing up in Henderson, Danny developed a deep appreciation for nature, which led to his lifelong passions for fishing and hunting. Many weekends were spent with a fishing rod in hand or exploring the great outdoors with his hunting buddies. Danny had an incredible knack for storytelling and would regale friends and family with tales of his fishing adventures or encounters with wildlife.

Beyond his outdoor pursuits, Danny found utmost fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones. He was a dedicated family man who treasured every moment he shared with family and friends. Danny’s charisma always shone through as he filled the room with laughter and warmth.

Danny F. Guidry will be remembered as an extraordinary individual whose presence brought joy into countless lives. His genuine kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering love made him a pillar of strength in his community. Although he is no longer with us, the memories he leaves behind will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his daughters, Martie Sanders (Alvin) and Jennifer Lewis (Jeff); brother, Perry Guidry (Ellen); sister, Vicky Guidry; grandchildren, Joey Landry, Lydia Guidry, Hayley Lewis, and Branson Landry; nieces, Colette LeBourgeois, Abbie Guidry (Aaron), Sara Hebert (Courtney), Katie Martin (Logan), Jennifer Daggett (Alex), Robin Landry (Glen), Joy Davis (Jeff), Natalie Spencer (Mike), Lauren Bostelman (Robert), Nicole Melancon (Ike) and Meghan Hebert (Mark); nephews, Brook Hebert (Samantha), Scotty Hebert (Inez), Travis Delahoussaye (Wendy), Ben Davis, Izrael Guidry (Laci) and Jean Paul Guidry (Rachel); and his brother-in-law, Eugene Hebert.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Belote Guidry; son, Justin Guidry;  parents, Francis and Lydia Dupuis Guidry; sister, Lois Hebert; brother, Kirk Guidry; and nephew, Jared Angelle. 

Honorary pallbearers were Alvin Sanders, Jean Paul Guidry, Izrael Guidry, Scotty Hebert, Brook Hebert, and Joey Landry.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
