Clevens J. Bijeaux

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Clevens J. Bijeaux, 78, who passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Rev. Nicholas DuPre’ will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Readers will be Sadi Richard and Hailey Bijeaux. Gift Bearers will Paula Martin, Michelle Allemand, Tammy Bijeaux and Hunter Credeur.
Clevens worked in the Dairy Industry for 30 years and then worked 10 years at Super One as a Receiving Clerk. In his younger years, he loved horse races and he often helped train with his best friend, Jim Blanchard. When he retired, he enjoyed fishing and golfing with his buddies. Clevens dearly loved his dog, Sloan, who never left his side. Above all, his family meant everything to him; he loved spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they always kept a smile on his face and was always greeted them with a fist bump. Clevens will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Clara W. Bijeaux; son, Bentley Bijeaux (Tammy); daughters, Paula Martin (Mike) and Michelle Allemand (Bryan); grandchildren, Tyler Bijeaux (Ashley), Chase Bijeaux (Alyssa), Sadi Richard (Caleb), Hunter Credeur, Hailey Bijeaux, Abbie Allemand and Chris Allemand; great-grandchildren, Emeri Allemand, Klaire Bijeaux, Kase Bijeaux, Adalyn Bijeaux and Audrey Bijeaux; and godchildren, Susan Addison, Terry “Blue” LeBlanc and Rachelle Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam J. Bijeaux and Orelia “Mayon” Borel Bijeaux.
Pallbearers will be Bentley Bijeaux, Bryan Allemand, Chase Bijeaux, Mike Martin, Tyler Bijeaux and Danny Landry.
Honorary pallbearers will be his godchildren.
The family wishes to thank his caregiver, Ashley Benjamin and the staff of Lourdes Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Lourdes Hospice.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
