Beverly Elaine Duplechin

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Beverly Elaine Duplechin, 73, who passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continued on Tuesday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Elaine was a member of the Adai Caddo Indian Nation. She loved caring for her fur babies, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, doing crossword puzzles, and was an avid Saints and LSU fan. Elaine will be remembered as one who believed that family came first and should always stay together through thick and thin. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Olan Duplechin; sons, Barry J. Badeaux and Joseph M. Badeaux and wife Stephanie, all of Breaux Bridge; step-sons, Phillip J. Duplechin and wife Karen, and Jason R. Duplechin and wife Ashley, all of Lafayette; step-daughter, Lisa A. Bourg and husband Todd of Norco; brother, Donald R. Rivers and wife Patricia of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Renee M. Badeaux, Kyle J. Badeaux and Joseph “JJ” Badeaux; a host of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and her beloved pets, Beau, Buddy, Cool J and Rusty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin John and Gladys Toby Rivers; first husband, Joyyce “JJ” Badeaux; daughter, Tracy L. Badeaux; brother, Melvin W. Rivers; and sisters, Glenda R. Champagne and Margie R. Degeyter.
Pallbearers were Barry Badeaux, Joey Badeaux, Kyle Badeaux, Caleb Richard, Phillip Duplechin and Jason Duplechin.
Honorary pallbearers wwere Renee Badeaux, JJ Badeaux, Stephanie Badeaux, Donise Rivers, Donald “Chief” Rivers and Sandy Degeyter.
Donations may be made in her name to the St. Martin Parish Animal Shelter, 1004 Industrial Park Rd., St. Martinville, LA 70582.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
