Anna Mae Soprano Foti

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Anna Mae Soprano Foti, 92, who passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Msgr. Keith Derouen officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kathryn McMinn and Shelby Kahn.

Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Anna was born March 13, 1929, in Charenton, Louisiana. She was kind and generous and touched the hearts and lives of  many people. She was soft-spoken and willing to help anyone she could. Anna will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and her beautiful smile will never be forgotten.

You will always be held closely in our hearts and your kindness will always be remembered. Until we meet again ...

She is survived by her sons, Gerard Foti (Sherry), Peter Foti (Andrea), and Carlo Foti (Trini); daughter, Maria Foti Matis (Steve); grandchildren, Mia Matis Lowe (Shelby), Jarad Matis (Sarah), Jenna Matis, Kathryn Foti McMinn (Seth), Michael Foti, Marissa Foti, Anthony Foti, Christian Foti, Fallon Foti Kallenberger (Maxwell) and Shelby Foti Kahn (Roberto); and her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Olivia McMinn and Wells Kallenberger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Henry Foti; infant son, Henry Laurence Foti; parents, Peter and Anna Farinella Soprano; nine brothers; one sister; and her mother and father-in-law. 

Pallbearers were Jarad Matis, Michael Foti, Christian Foti, Anthony Foti, Shelby Lowe and Seth McMinn.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
