Anita Boudreaux Borel

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted for Anita Boudreaux Borel, 51, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The Dion Hall reopened at 8 a.m. on Thursday until service time.
A native of St. Martinville and resident of Parks, formerly of Catahoula, Anita passed away at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019, at her residence.
Anita was a 1985 graduate of St. Martinville Senior High. Upon graduation she attended vocational school where she learned the skills to become a machinist. She was currently employed at JMI Manufacturing in Broussard as a machinist for the last eight years.
During her spare time, she enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flowers. Anita loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Kaylie Borel and fiancé Patrick Ortego of Pineville; son, Koy Borel of Catahoula; three grandchildren, Landon Richard, Madden Manarang and Kaimen Guidroz; her father, Ronald Boudreaux of Catahoula and his fiancée, Sharon Primeaux; one sister, Paula B. Derouen and husband Derrick of Breaux Bridge; and two brothers, Barry Boudreaux and wife Vicki and Cory Boudreaux and wife Catina, all of Catahoula.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fable Guidry Boudreaux; maternal grandparents, Murphy and Bunice Guidry, and paternal grandparents, Antoine and Jeanne Boudreaux.
Pallbearers were Barry Boudreaux, Corey Boudreaux, Josh Judice, Tyler Derouen, Ridge Boudreaux, Tanner Boudreaux, Nicholas Derouen and Gage Judice.
