Alcee Castille

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Alcee Castille, 82, who passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. 
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Rev. Gregory Cormier officiated at the Funeral Mass, assisted by Deacon Ken Soignier. Readers were Tonya Boyer and Darlene Arceneaux. Gift Bearers were Debra Barras and Rose Arceneaux. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Alcee was a hard worker all of his life to provide for he and his wife of 56 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting. He loved his nephews and nieces dearly and treated them like they were his own children. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Agnes “Dora” Richard Castille; brother, Elie Castille Jr. and wife Lucille; sisters, Lillian C. Arceneaux, Rita C. Quebedeaux, Mary C. Martin, and Emeliene C. Kennison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elie Castille Sr.; mother, Emeliene Stelly Castille; and nephews, Harry Castille and David Castille.
Pallbearers were Richard Carpenter, Christian Landry, Joel Jeansonne, Chad Jeansonne, Johnny Arceneaux and Johnathan Barras.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
