Adelle Dupuis Guilbeau

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Adelle Dupuis Guilbeau, 95, who passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her family. 

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday.

A rosary was prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

Deacon Ken Soignier officiated at the Funeral Service. 

Interment followed at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Cecilia. 

Adelle was a member of the Ladies Altar Society for many years. She loved spending time in her yard, cutting her grass, caring for people in need, cooking, baking and visiting with family and friends. 

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Barras (Louis); sister, Mildred  Roberts; four grandchildren, Mitchell Barras (Bernetta), Charlotte Smith, Joey Barras (Rachelle) and Louis Barras II (Paula); 12 great- grandchildren, Ambre, Tristan, Jade, Brandan, John, Shannon, Tyler, Trey, Asia , Ediee, Iviee, and Lannie;  and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, Herman Dupuis and Adelaide Burch Dupuis; spouse, Harris Guilbeau;  brothers, Cleveland Dupuis and Kaiser Dupuis; ans sisters, Hazel Berard, Hilda Altemus and Beulah Doucet. 

Pallbearers were Tristan Barras, John Barras, Brandon Barras, Joey Barras, Ambre Barras and Ediee Barras. 

Honorary pallbearers were Iviee, Lannie and Jade.  

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
