A native of White Castle and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Richard passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at his residence.
Born on July 16, 1934, to the late Clebert and Clelie Daigle Richard, Adam was one of five children. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple life of country living. Adam proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He worked hard in the oil field for his entire career, working his way up to production foreman.
Adam enjoyed fishing, tinkering with old engines in his shed, and watching boxing and football (especially The LSU Tigers and The N.O. Saints). He was a kind man who was always there to lend a helping hand to any and all in need. More than anything, Adam loved his family and he will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores Broussard Richard; son, Kirk Richard; daughters, Shari Pitman (Gregory) and Trisha Bowes (Bill); grandchildren, Heather P. Blanchard, Lindy Pitman, Caitlyn Nugent, Ross Nugent, Kelsey Bowes, Will Bowes, Sarah Richard Zachary Richard and Nina Pitman; great-grandchildren, Lillian Blanchard and Liam Blanchard; and sister, Ethel Cedotal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clebert and Clelie Daigle Richard; brother, Alton Richard; and sisters, Shirley Sagona and Eva Richard.
