Catahoula - A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, Jan. 12, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Septieme Borel, 93, who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020. Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. He is survived by his son, Ronald Borel; daughter, Susan B. Doucet; brother, Phillip Borel; sister, Mrs. Ramsey (Mary) Albert; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edmonia Dugas Borel; a grandson; brothers, Joseph, Clovis, Pierre, Lawrence, Marcel and Amilcar Borel; and sisters, Mrs. Adam (Orelia) Bijeaux, Mrs. William (Edith) Theriot, Mrs. Alvin (Corinne) Dugas, and Olivia and Elmire Borel. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
