St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Wesley “Sue-Sue” Lewis, 80, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019. Interment followed at Queen of Peace Cemetery. He proudly served in the United States Army for six years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louella Johnson Lewis; son, Bryan Lewis; brothers, Isreal Washington, and Ronnie, Irvin and Hilary Lewis; sister, Joyce Louis; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace James and Stella Mae Darby. Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
